"Haribo" gold bears are famous all around the
world. "Milka" - the chocolate with the purple
cow - is another famous German brand that
has major success abroad. Further, "Lübecker
Marzipan" has celebrated global success.
Equally popular is "Nürnberger Lebkuchen", delicious ginger-bread
first made by Franconian monks.

German wines grow in 13 different areas.
Many of them are known throughout the world,
such as the Moselle, Rhine, Main, Neckar,
Saar and Nahe. Riesling is probably the best
known German grape. "Vollrads Castle Winery"
in the Rheingau has been producing one of
the finest German rieslings since the early
Middle Ages. You should ask for this wine if
you come across a wine shop.

The emblem of the city of Berlin represents
a bear. For this reason, you will find a
variety of bears in souvenir shops. Most of
the shops are situated "Unter den Linden".

Socialist memorabilia and design pieces from the former German Democratic Republic
can be found in a shop located in a metal
container at Friedrichshain, Ehrenbergstr. 3-7,
underground train stop
"Warschauer Straße".

celebrated its 100th birthday last year.

Located on Friedrichstrasse 71, near
underground train stop "Französische Strasse",

and black and white marble is a construction
by world famous New York architects’ offices,
Pei, Cobb, Freed & Partners. You will find
designer shops of the international fashion
elite.

The "Hackesche Höfe", built in 1905-07 in
the former Jewish quarter of Berlin, were
renovated after the fall of the wall. Now,
they are the ideal place for trend-shopping
with many boutiques, galleries, bars,
cafes and restaurants. Many young Berlin
fashion designers have their shops here. In
the international fashion scene, the Berlin
Style is often regarded to be the latest
trend.
